Prismatic LiFePO4 cells are the most widely used cell format in stationary storage: rectangular aluminium cases, high capacity per cell and long cycle life.
Buying cells: what to ask for
- Grade and matching — cells in one pack should have closely matched capacity and internal resistance.
- Cycle-life data with test conditions — a cycle number means little without the depth of discharge, C-rate and temperature it was measured at.
- Safety test reports and the UN38.3 summary for shipping.

Do you sell single cells to individuals?
Our cell supply is for businesses that build battery packs. For a home system, a finished battery with BMS is safer and simpler.
Why LiFePO4 instead of other lithium chemistries?
Lithium iron phosphate is more thermally stable, contains no cobalt and offers long cycle life — the reasons it dominates stationary storage, even though its energy per kilogram is lower.
How are cells shipped?
As Class 9 dangerous goods, with the UN38.3 test summary and safety data sheet, at the state of charge the shipping rules require.
Which certificates do your home storage products have?
It differs by model. Ask for the certificate list of the exact model with your quotation — we send copies, and you can check them with the issuing body. Lithium batteries always ship with a UN38.3 test summary.
Can I order a sample before a larger order?
Yes. Distributors and installers often start with one or two units to test with their inverters and customers. Lithium samples travel by sea or by an air service that accepts dangerous goods, so allow for that in the timeline.
