Bifacial Solar Panel

Double-sided modules that add rear-side yield on ground-mounted and tracker systems.

Rating
Wattage per project
Versions
Glass-backsheet or dual-glass

Best for: Ground-mount and tracker arrays over light-coloured ground.

  • Extra yield from reflected light
  • Dual-glass option for harsh climates
  • Pairs with single-axis trackers
  • Yield estimate uses your ground albedo

Bifacial modules collect light on both faces. The front works like any monocrystalline panel; the rear picks up light reflected from the ground, which can add useful energy where the array stands high enough above a bright surface.

When bifacial pays off

  • Ground-mount and trackers with at least a metre of clearance under the modules.
  • Light ground — sand, gravel or white membranes reflect more than grass or dark soil.
  • Large arrays where a few percent more energy changes the project economics.

On pitched roofs and low tilt frames the rear side is mostly shaded, so we usually recommend standard monocrystalline modules there.

Design notes

Dual-glass versions are heavier, so the mounting structure and foundations are checked against the module weight and your wind loads. Our yield estimate states the albedo and height assumptions it uses, so you can compare offers on the same basis.

Common configurations

  • Glass + transparent backsheet
  • Dual-glass
  • Different encapsulation types

What we confirm before quoting

Our engineers check these points with you, so the quotation fits your site rather than a catalogue default.

  1. 1Expected rear-side gain at your site
  2. 2Mounting height above ground
  3. 3Ground reflectivity (albedo)
  4. 4Electrical parameters for string design
  5. 5Structural load of the heavier module

Frequently asked questions

How much extra energy does the rear side give?

It depends on ground reflectivity, mounting height and row spacing. We estimate it for your site and state the assumptions, rather than quoting a fixed percentage.

Do bifacial modules need a special inverter?

No, but string design must allow for the extra current from the rear side, so the inverter input current limit is checked with a margin.

Are dual-glass modules heavier?

Yes. The structure, foundations and handling on site are checked against the heavier weight.

What documents come with a solar equipment order?

Commercial invoice, packing list, bill of lading, the datasheet of each item and the certificates you asked for at quotation stage. Certificates of origin or inspection reports can be added when your importer needs them.

How is warranty handled for buyers outside China?

Warranty terms are written into the quotation for each product. Claims start with photos, serial numbers and monitoring data; replacement parts are shipped from China, so we recommend keeping a small spares stock on larger projects.
